The StairSpace winder is a great new design of staircase that has
been created to provide a superb solution to increase safety and
maximise space in buildings across the UK.

The Problem

It has always been the case that people do not feel safe using traditional kite winder staircase. This is due to the fact that with the kite winder design you have to turn the corner as you're stepping down the staircase, thus meaning that anyone who is not sure footed can find this design quite daunting to use.

The Solution

After many years of trying different designs we came up with the Stairspace winder. This design solves many of the problems of the kite winder.

The way we overcame the problem was by forming a landing with the kite tread, thus providing a stopping point on the turn, which makes the stairs far easier to use. This is particularly true when considering the needs of the disabled, older generation and the very young who may still be mastering stairs.

The benefit of the Stairspace winder is that you can still retain all the space saving qualities of a kite winder but with the added safety of a landing.
